The signs of facial aging include loose skin, folds and deep creases around the mouth, jowling, and sagging skin of the neck. Facelift procedure softens the lines on the face and gives more pleasing contours. Neck is usually restored at the same time to provide a unified look to the lower face.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are lots of different facelift surgery techniques. The important thing is to choose the appropriate method for the patient, which is possible with surgical experience. The needs and the desires of the patient are determined during the consultation. The patient\u2019s expectations are assessed and the surgery plan is made. Procedures that can be done with surgery are explained to the patient. The goal of the surgery is to provide a rested and rejuvenated appearance. You can expect a 10-15 year age reduction in the face with facelift surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n

The general health status of the patient, the previous operations, the medications that he \/ she is using and their possible effects on facelift surgery are evaluated. Information about the medicines and herbal products that should not be used before the operation is given to the patient.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fat in the face, jowls and neck is redistributed through the incisions and the tissue is repositioned. If needed the facial muscles may be tightened. The facial skin is re-draped and any excess is removed. Sometimes I inject fat, which contains stem cells to improve the skin quality.
